ABOUT
Being an artist/ craftsman almost my entire life that creativity finally took root in leather working, now 14 years later , well known for my hand tooled leather work , I'm able to combine all of my skills of design, engineering and Leather work into one area. Jacquesbenard is the culmination of years of hard work and is allowing me to build fine furnishings using a lifetime of acquired skills. Each piece is my own personal design along with input from the customer. In using only the finest materials available not only gives me the confidence to do what I do in my work, and bring the best out of it , but it also assures the customer that their Piece will last for generations to come. From the Leather hides I work with From Hermann Oak to the hand crafted wood and metal work, 100% is made in the USA .
Beginning with the Continuum Table , there are numerous pieces that fit with it in a collection, end and side tables, to entry tables . Coffee tables begin at the standard dimensions of 24 w 48 long and 17.5 high. Other sizes or requested sizes are available in all styles of foundations, as is coloring, artwork, wood used, metal used, I can match or blend to any decor you have or any design your imagination can dream up. Each piece is made by hand, one at a time with the utmost attention to detail. You will be kept updated through the build process and presented with a build video if requested that chronicles the build of your piece/pieces. Along with coffee style tables ,end tables , entry tables and desks , I also create interior leather art from wall hangings to vases and personalized items and gifts. If you can dream it , I can create it for you.
All leather work begins with a hand drawn pencil sketch and moves on from that point after approval. Depending on the complexity of the piece and number of pieces ordered completion times vary between 2 months and 12 months. If you wish to have a current piece you already own re worked in tooled leather art, I'm available to that for you also. Special Requests are always welcome!.
